It's been long enough and you've always been on the inside-- was Xorn always actually meant to be Magneto or was he changed as a final bitter act by Morrison against Jemas like Sean Howe implied in his book? Thanks!

Yes, Xorn was always Magneto, right from the start.
Today I did way too much work on a joke pitch for a series called Xorns. It would be Xorn, future Young Jean Grey, Magneto, and Xorn’s twin brother Xorn teaming up. Magneto would spend the whole thing telling anyone who would listen that he was never REALLY Xorn and everybody is just like suuuuuure. Their enemies would be an army of Erik the Reds.
